Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along
Sondheim's semi-autobiographical musical Merrily We Roll Along turns back the clock on friendship and the high price of success.
The authors of the Broadway hit COMPANY reunite to turn the traditional show business musical on its head. This compelling Broadway tale about friendship, compromise, and the high price of success. Stephen Sondheim and George Furth expertly blend the excitement and energy of a backstage musical with a poignant and emotional contemporary story about the souring of ideals and the erosions of friendships.
Merrily We Roll Along contains popular Broadway songs "Not a Day Goes By", "Old Friends", and "Good Thing Going".

Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope"
In 1948 Alfred Hitchcock presented to the world his grand experiment in filmmaking – Rope, based on the play by Patrick Hamilton. This October you will see Poor Richard's Players and director Lysander Abadia continue that experiment on the Onyx Theatre stage, in Technicolor so live, you would think it was happening right in front of you. Believing themselves to be superior human beings, two Harvard students, Brandon and Phillip, murder their fellow schoolmate, David, as part of an ingenious game. They then invite some of their dearest friends as well as David's family to a cocktail party, held at the scene of the crime. Will the guests discover Brandon and Phillip's macabre secret? Will they realize the true guest of honor of their lively gathering? Tune in October 17-26 at the Onyx Theatre to find out.
